Response

Dear Friends,
Thanks for the response for my Post Unforgotten Interview. I'm receiving a lot and Good response for that post.
Let me give answers to the questions some of my blog friends asked me.

Well, am basically an Engineer. As an engineering student at my college, i did reporting for the Local Siti Cable for 10months and got a great Encouragement. After some incidents i reported, i got the chance of Interviewing that Sex Workers. I agreed to that opportunity, a bit hesitating and also a lot of excitement. When i met them first, as mentioned in the previous post, i thought of them in indecent way. Ofcourse their language also much vulgar which i need to avoid some words in that post. That Interview made a large impact on my life, which guided me in the direction of Media and Change my Openion about Women, particualrly those Workers.

After that interview, i met the children of Some other Sex Workers. Actually i thought of asking them some questions. But, when i met them, they asked me some questions. I was dumbstruck and have no answers for them at that time. Ofcourse, not even now. I will post those details in next posts.

Actually i wished to share my experience of this interview a very long time before. But, i'm failed to do so due to many reasons. Now, after a six long years i dared to do what i wanted to do. I wrote a kavita after that incident and was posted on this blog before with title, "Vesya Ante...".

After learning the lives of people who are behind the veils or people who are forced to be in dark room all their life, i wished to support them. When our interview was telecasted in 2002, that district officials are moved and offered Eight of them STD Booths and Tailoring Machines for decent living. They are Happy and thanked those officials. When i went to our college meet in 2006, i got to know that Six of the workers are back to field. I wished to know the reason and contacted through some sources. Then they told me that the revenue with the STD Booth or that tailoring Machine are not upto the needs. They want their children to be studied in some concept school. They asked me, When 60-70% of people are having mobiles in thier pocket and a lot of Rupee Coin Boxes are in the street, who cares to call from a STD Booth? And ofcourse there are Readymade Garments and Some Brothers Malls in every town to offer wide variety of dresses who tries to get stich a dress for them? I'm again have no answer.

As i said earlier, Veena and Swathi moved to Mumbai Kamatipura, and some of them are in Ongole. I have no contacts with them now.

What i wanna say with post is just to tell that there is a story behind every person. They are not bearing the pain with happiness. They are forced to do it for different reasons. There are a lot of cries and tears behind those rosy red lips. There are a lot of Burns and Scars under the Lehngas or Chemki Chudidars. They are not happy with the thing they are doing. They are bearing the pain only for their children, for their parents, for their sisters or even for their brothers.

Yes, i'm in Media Now.
I'm a Reporter and Technical Assistant in an upcoming News Channel.
